A Rotorua District Council Mayoral delegation will visit China from 7-19 November 2006. The delegation will include an official RDC group, three winning artists from a Nanjing Rotorua Town sculpture competition, Rotorua business representatives and citizens and members of the Rotorua-China Friendship Society. Besides attending the opening of Nanjing Rotorua Town, the delegation will visit Shanghai, including the Shanghai Wood Innovation Centre, plus Rotorua sister city Suzhou and China’s capital, Beijing.
