“ Market leader for farm tractor sales … friendly multi-cultural work force … regular ongoing product training …relocation assistance”.   Farm and Garden Equipment began business in 1978 as a service repairer for all types of heavy equipment and in 1986 the company was appointed a John Deere Dealer for the Central North Island. Over the past 18 years the company has grown to be the market leader for farm tractor sales in the region, with current sales of over 40 per cent of the new tractor sales for the region. The company’s target over the next two years is to achieve 50 per cent market share. To achieve this they need to boost their servicing capabilities and are looking to employ two to four additional skilled technicians. Nine of the company’s staff of 16 are employed in the service department. Farm and Garden Equipment operate from a large modern workshop based on the outskirts of the city, which is currently being modernised to allow for increased parts storage and administration facilities. The company runs four fully equipped field service trucks, which service a large dairy farming area. They are also the only combine harvester dealer for the top half of the North Island. Farm and Garden Equipment’s main product lines are the 6000 and 7000 series tractors, as well as a few of the 8000 series, and sales of one to two combines annually. Job Vacancies   We are looking for two – four technicians who are skilled in the use of computer diagnostic equipment and who have had experience in servicing modern farm machinery.   A competitive remuneration package based on skills, qualifications and experience is offered.
