Those who participated in the 2006 Rotorua Economic Opportunities Forum told us they considered their participation was generally worthwhile. An overwhelming majority of those who gave us feedback said they want to stay involved in helping to support and guide the economic growth of Rotorua.
As a result of the feedback, the BrightEconomy Board will hold further workshops on particular areas of focus to report progress on defining opportunities and to invite further participation and suggestions.

The most frequent comments about the workshops, as well as suggestions for next year’s forum, called for more time to be allocated to workshops, more chance to discuss ideas, greater allowance for feedback and interaction, smaller groups and more focused discussion.
Of those who gave feedback at the forum, 92.6% said they would attend this sort of forum annually.
